Renew your PTIN
Make sure you renew your PTIN free of charge. Sign in to your PTIN account to do so. A PTIN is required for any person who is planning to prepare tax returns for compensation

|
Complete the NYS Preparer Continuing Education Requirements
If you are going to prepare New York State tax returns, you must complete a Continuing Education Course before you can register. Click here for more information

|
Register with the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance
After you complete your applicable NYS continuing education course, you must register with the Department of Taxation. Sign in to your Online Services Account in order to do so.

Complete your Bank's Compliance Training
Your Bank Application must be accepted by now, and you should have received an email from your corresponding Bank (Santa Barbara, Republic Bank or EPS) with instructions to complete your Compliance Training.
- Santa Barbara: click here to sign in (Once in your account, you will also be able to Opt-In to any SBTPG Program, for example, the Fast Cash Advance. Programs are subject to qualifications)
- Republic Bank: for the Compliance training, click here (After you complete your Republic Bank training, you will get an RBIN, which is needed to prepare Bank Products with Republic Bank)
- EPS: To sign in, click here

Deadline for AFSP 18 Hours Course
The deadline for completing the AFSP 18 Hours Course is December 30, 2018. You must complete your course by this date if you wish to get all the AFSP benefits. This course is voluntary. Click here for more information
